Dunya Yachts Announces Three Exciting New Build Projects

Dunya Yachts has recently announced the commencement of three new build projects - M/Y Project DY009, M/Y Project DY010, and M/Y Project DY011. These three new builds are currently under construction at Dunya Yachts Ursa Shipyard's state-of-the-art facility; each of these projects features Dunya Yachts' signature details. From the detailed interior designs to the advanced machinery and piping systems, no detail has been overlooked in the construction of these new builds. M/Y Project DY009: This steel displacement hull motor yacht measures 47 metres in length and features an aluminium superstructure. Secret Love – Winter Refit

In mid-November last year, the 36m motoryacht ‘Secret Love’, built in 1990 at Amels, entered our 80m shed for an extensive list of works. Having been in the same ownership for more than 10 years, the vessel is a family favourite that has always been immaculately maintained. However, her exterior paint work was beginning to show signs of age and it was decided to undertake a number of upgrades to the engineering systems while she was laid up for her complete paint job. Classic yacht ‘Cacouna’ … Dunya Delivers.

This classic 36m yacht has a fascinating history that spans almost nine decades and includes strong ties to the glamourous stars of Hollywood as well as service during WW II before arriving at our facilities to undertake a major restoration. Originally built as Cacouna, she was designed by Charles E. Nicholson and launched from the Camper & Nicholsons Gosport yard in March 1932. Having served in the North west of the UK as an escort vessel during World War II, she was sold shortly afterwards and relocated to Cannes in the South of France.
